A Master's degree in Nursing is preferred. If Master's degree is in a related field, a Baccalaureate degree in nursing is required. Required Qualifications Current board certification (FNP) in specialty area and licensure as ARNP in state of Iowa is required. Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required. Current license to practice as an ARNP in state of Iowa. Minimum 6 months experience as an ARNP. Demonstrated experience in area of clinical practice is required. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage acutely ill patient population (of all ages) within a highly functioning unit/department. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Proved capacity to function with a high degree of autonomy while actively collaborating within a multidisciplinary team. Demonstrated experience working effectively in a welcoming and respectful workplace environment. Current valid driver’s license and the ability to meet the University Driving Policy Standards. Availability to provide support at other clinical locations based on clinical hours/needs. BLS, ACLS and PALS certification (obtained within first 6 months of employment). Desirable Qualifications Minimum 1 year of acute patient care ARNP experience within Emergency Department, Urgent Care and/or Walk-In Clinic area(s), or Family Medicine. Some knowledge of University policies and procedures. Previous EPIC experience. Comfortable with technology and leveraging video, or the desire to learn.
