Summary Coordinates patient care planning with other disciplines utilizing the principles of the nursing process and critical thinking skills in order to maintain patient safety and well-being. (Some positions might be assigned to critical care areas requiring specialized training.) Essential Functions Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure safe patient care. Identifies and resolves workplace health and safety issues. P rovides appropriate, direct patient care utilizing appropriate aseptic techniques. May manage IV lines, ensure that sterile techniques are adhered to, and oversee patient movement and positioning to ensure that the patient is handled in a medically safe manner. May perform the administration of pharmacological vasodilator medications for the purpose of nuclear myocardial perfusion imaging; complies with examination competency as defined in the Imaging Services Practice Standards. Complies with policies, procedures, regulations, and standards and takes corrective action when violations occur. Orients, instructs, and educates assigned personnel. Adheres to and supports team members in exhibiting TMCH values of integrity, community, compassion, and dedication. Minimum Qualifications EDUCATION : Bachelor’s degree preferred. EXPERIENCE : One year of nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred. LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION: Current RN licensure permitting work in the State of Arizona and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Additional certification may be required per department. Detailed, up-to-date care plans and collaboration with Care Managers will help you feel equipped and comfortable. Qualifications 1. Must be a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. 2. Must hold an active license in the state, as a Registered Nurse. 3. One, or more, years of experience, in community/home health agency setting, is preferred. 4. Must have knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid guidelines. 5. Must have a working knowledge of home healthcare, and the principles and techniques of professional nursing, and required documentation that pertains to it. 6. Should be skillful in organization, and in the principles of time management, and have knowledge of management processes. 7. Must be able to contribute to the quality of care being rendered, through constructive communication with nursing managers and staff. 8. Proficient with computers and EMR documentation experience with ALORA Plus preferred 9. Must have a criminal background check. 10. Must have a current CPR certification. Online certification is not accepted. Environment: Contact with clients under a wide variety of circumstances. Care is provided in client’s living environment with varying situations, including private homes, independent or assisted living or in an institution such as a hospital or long-term care facility. May be required to respond to emergency situations. Travel required. Position includes tasks that have the potential for exposure to blood/body fluids/tissues and other potentially infectious material such as body fluids/tissues. Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Corrected visual and hearing acuity required.
