Communicates all emergencies, patient life-threatening complications and related incidents to supervisor, Medical Director, Regional Operations Director, Facility or Group Facility Administrator 15%: Assesses patient and family learning readiness and provides appropriate information on renal disease, prescribed dialysis treatment, and medical regimen and its impact on the patient’s state of health and well-being. UW Medicine is the premier academic medical center in Washington state, encompasses 4 hospitals in the Seattle metro area and is the primary referral hospital for the five-state WWAMI (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho) region. The department supports a residency program, four fellowship programs, including Gynecologic Oncology, and is a major teaching site for UW medical students. This is a full-time, 12 month (July 1 - June 30) academic position on a yearly appointment with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026. What You'll Own Your patient's full clinical journey — from initial skin assessment and treatment planning through follow-up care and long-term results. You'll partner with Patient Care Coordinators and Location Directors to deliver seamless, individualized care on a busy clinic floor. Day-to-day: performing laser, injectable, and skin rejuvenation treatments; documenting accurately; and staying engaged in a high-volume environment. You'll work with a custom EMR built for LaserAway — fully digital and designed to simplify charting so you stay focused on patients, not paperwork. And as we continuously add the latest FDA-cleared technologies to our treatment menu, you'll always be practicing at the forefront of aesthetic medicine. The scheduled hours are 24-hours per week, Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm. Flexibility on days. Previous Occupational Health, ER or Ambulatory experience required. Medical Surveillance experience a strong plus. Must be comfortable working autonomously. What You’ll Do Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision) Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care Performs other duties as assigned What You’ll Bring Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic Work-life balance is at the foundation of how decisions are made and where Premise is headed.
