How you make a difference The Regional Director of Nursing (RDON) is a highly skilled and experienced Registered Professional Nurse with advanced studies and expertise in Nursing Services administration. As an RDON, they are responsible for structuring, planning, and implementing the Nursing Service Program within assigned regions, ensuring that all activities are compliant with American Correctional Association (ACA), National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC), and State accreditation standards. The RDON's authority, responsibility, and accountability ensure that the nursing program's goals, objectives, policies, and procedures align with those of the company and the facility. Key Responsibilities Oversee planning, policy development, and patient care evaluation to ensure compliance with ACA, NCCHC, and State standards. Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in their region, including coordinating training and education opportunities. Serve as a liaison between nursing services, other healthcare providers, and the Regional Manager and Medical Director. Monitor and report on nursing incidents and communicable diseases, and assess policies and procedures as needed. Assist the Medical Director in developing nursing guidelines and manuals for the region. Qualifications & Requirements Education Must be graduated from an accredited School of Nursing. Experience Emergency Room, communicable disease, with medical and surgical experience preferred. 5 years of supervisory experience in an acute setting recommended. Experience in delivery and administration of correctional nursing services preferred. Licenses/Certifications Must have and maintain current licensure as a registered nurse within the state as well as CPR certification. How you make a difference The Certified Medication Technician is responsible for administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with activities of daily living under the supervision of a registered nurse. This role ensures compliance with medication protocols and participates in audits and performance improvement activities. The technician documents medication administration and patient observations accurately while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality standards. They assist in training new staff, attend team meetings, and support overall clinical operations. Additional duties include equipment handling, supply management, and floating to various patient care areas as needed. How you make a difference The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner provides a full range of psychiatric services to incarcerated patients in accordance with state scope of practice, collaborative protocols, and established policies. This role delivers direct psychiatric care while also providing clinical consultation to mental health and healthcare staff. The position works within state guidelines to support consistent, high-quality psychiatric services across the facility. Clinical consultation and supervision are sought as required under applicable collaborative practice requirements. Key Responsibilities Provide psychiatric evaluations, treatment, and follow-up care while exercising independent medical judgment. Monitor and manage psychotropic medications, including effectiveness, side effects, and required follow-up. Collaborate with mental health, medical, and administrative teams to ensure consistent psychiatric and mental health services. Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation and participate in required meetings, consultations, and on-call coverage. Support crisis intervention, referrals, transfers, and emergency or involuntary treatment processes as allowed by scope of practice. Qualifications & Requirements Education Master in Science of Nursing or Post-Master’s Certificate from an accredited nurse practitioner program with a specialty in psychiatric mental health across the lifespan. Experience Minimum one (1) year of experience as a PMHNP required, or may be waived if approved by Vice President of Advanced Practice Program. Corrections experience in a PMHNP role preferred. Licenses/Certifications Unrestricted current license to practice as a PMHNP in the state of practice. Current board certification as a PMHNP. Current DEA Registration (unless Chief Psychiatric Officer determines it as optional). Current BLS certification. How you make a difference The Discharge Planner Registered Nurse is responsible for conducting comprehensive patient assessments to ensure effective discharge planning and coordination of care. This role includes patient education, arranging follow-up services, and ensuring compliance with nursing standards and regulations. By facilitating a smooth transition, the Discharge Planner RN enhances patient satisfaction and improves health outcomes. Key Responsibilities Clinical Review & Documentation : Conduct clinical reviews of off-site observations, outpatient, and acute care, ensuring accurate documentation in the COREMR System per department guidelines. Care Coordination & Management : Collaborate with Regional and Site Medical Directors, providers, and operations personnel to coordinate care, manage medical costs, and ensure timely accruals and statistics. Discharge Planning & Patient Education : Assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans, educate patients on post-discharge care, review medications, and coordinate follow-up appointments with LVNs. Experience Prior medical/surgical and/or emergency/trauma experience and corrections experience is preferred. Must have the patience and tact to deal with the inmate patient population and ability to work effectively in the corrections environment.
