Overview We are seeking a Telemetry CNA, sometimes referred to as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). The Certified Nursing Assistant in our telemetry unit plays an important role in the care of patients who require continuous monitoring of their heart and vital signs. Our Telemetry units typically care for patients with cardiac conditions, post-surgical needs, or other medical issues requiring close monitoring. Our CNA’s provide essential support to patients under close cardiac monitoring. What you'll do The Staff Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical manages individualized, goal-directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures. Cares for ages Pediatric through advanced age and end of life. Assesses and diagnoses patient and family needs to provide quality care to assigned patients and documents findings in the EMR Performs admission assessment within six hours of admission or in accordance with specific unit standards. Reviews and acknowledges all MD orders for assigned patients Identifies and documents nursing diagnosis on patients’ plan of care promptly Identifies and documents patient/family/significant other teaching needs upon admission Identifies discharge-planning needs of patient/family/significant other of admission Develops, discusses, and communicates a realistic problem list (plan of care) for each patient, in collaboration with each patient/family/significant other in order to address all identified needs.
