Job Description Nemours is seeking a Nursing Assistant for our 3 West floor! Position is full-time - 60 hrs every 2 wks, 12-hr rotating shifts, every third holiday, two weekends out of six. Additional patient populations include neurosurgical and nonsurgical neurology, and infants transitioning from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Neurology and neurosurgical patients are also cared for on 3 West. This unit was designed to provide single patient care rooms to allow for privacy and family presence during the hospital stay. Responsibilities Ensures an adequate stock of all necessary equipment and supplies in designated areas at established par levels. Ensures a clean and safe patient care unit. Assists patients with activities of daily life (bath, feed, play, etc.) and provides other patient care as directed. Assists other staff in examination or treatment procedures including positioning, holding and comforting patients. Assures all supplies are accurately charged. Qualifications Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred. Education: The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
