Assists patients with activities of daily life (bath, feed, play, etc.) and provides other patient care as directed. Job Description Our Perianesthesia Department includes a 22-bed PACU, 11-bed pre-operative unit, and 4-bed Procedural Annex supporting a variety of surgical and procedural services. We are a high-acuity academic medical center caring for 60+ surgical and procedural patients daily. Our team provides care for a diverse surgical population including orthopedic spine, neurosurgery, transplant, cardiac, thoracic, vascular, general surgery, urology, and interventional procedures. We care for medically complex patients requiring close monitoring, interdisciplinary collaboration, and individualized care throughout the perioperative experience. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients recovering from anesthesia in a high-acuity PACU and procedural environment. Assess and manage airway, respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, and pain management needs during the immediate post-anesthesia phase.
