Provides ostomy care. Takes weights and vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure monthly and as requested by nurse, records, and reports results. Provides ambulation assistance as needed. Assists with transfer to and from bed. Reports any change in resident status to nurse immediately. Responds to emergency calls and assists nurse as needed. Reports any accidents, injuries, or complaints to nurse or administration immediately. Delivers supplies and equipment to residents. Provides light housekeeping. Cleans refrigerator, stove or oven, cabinets, and silverware drawers as needed. Vacuums and dusts as needed. Assists with laundry by washing, drying, and folding laundry and putting it away. Strips and remakes bed as needed at least once a week. Cleans the bathroom including bathroom floor, vanity, toilet, and shower or bathtub. Removes trash from resident apartments daily. Assists resident with meal service as needed including meal preparation and cutting up foods, set-up, clearing and washing dishes. Reports any unsafe equipment to nurse or administrator. Maintains the cleanliness and neatness of the wellness office, laundry room, equipment, and inventory supplies. Removes trash from wellness offices and laundry rooms. Abides by established guidelines of the facility and governing regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.
