Description Job Title: Staff Nurse-Intensive Care Unit Float Pool-Mount Sinai Hospital-Full Time -Nights The Clinical Nurse for the Mount Sinai nursing float pool is a Registered Professional Nurse who provides safe, competent quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients on a variety of assigned units. Responsibilities Patient Care 1. Delivers patient care by incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care and through the application of the nursing process based upon theory, research, evidence-based practice, and approved organizational nursing standards. 2. Job Summary The CRNA is responsible for the pre-operative, intra-operative, and immediate post-operative care of the patient requiring anesthesia for surgical, medical, therapeutic or diagnostic procedures. These locations are often geographically far from the main ORs. In these environments, work proceeds in an atmosphere that includes many forms of electrical, mechanical, gas driven, and radiation and laser emitting equipment. The environment can be warm, cold, dimly lit and crowded as well as spacious and well lit.
