Role Summary The Staff Nurse, RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for a designated group of surgical patients. Responsibilities include establishing care priorities, developing and executing perioperative nursing plans, providing patient and family education, supporting discharge planning, documenting care and patient progress, and collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality surgical outcomes. Through both circulating and scrub experiences, nurses play an integral role in procedural efficiency, sterile technique, and intraoperative patient advocacy. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S): Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact. Responsibilities POSITION SUMMARY: The surgical technologists will be working directly with the surgical team. The surgical technologists will be responsible for preparing the surgical suite according to age specific, medical condition and surgeon preference. The candidate will also perform appropriate sponge, sharp and instrument counts according to hospital policies and procedures. It will be required for the candidate to cross train to other surgical areas in our system. The candidate will demonstrate competency to aseptic surgical equipment annually.
