Support the surgical team by providing required instruments and supplies to the surgeon and assisting with hemostasis to ensure the procedure progresses smoothly. Care for the patient throughout the operative journey by assisting with preparation, transport, positioning, and draping to maintain safety and dignity. Guarantee procedural accuracy by keeping instruments organized and conducting rigorous counts of all supplies and tools to monitor the field at all times. What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Surgical Technologists, sometimes called “scrub techs ”, assist in surgical procedures under the supervision of surgeons and registered nurses and ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and maintaining a sterile field. Surgical Technologists perform a variety of functions, such as checking supplies and equipment, setting up sterile tables, performing appropriate counts , draping the sterile field, passing instruments to the surgeon , assist ing during the procedure, prepar ing sterile dressing and clean ing instruments for terminal sterilization. A PRN caregiver in this position works varying days from 6:00AM – 6:30PM .
