Laconia Nursing home is an independent, family-owned facility in the Bronx. We are looking for an RN Supervisor to join our leadership team.

Essential Duties:

Establish a compassionate environment by providing support to Residents and their families.
Maintain documentation of Resident care services by auditing Resident and department records.
Create appropriate care plans for residents
Handle all supervisory duties for assigned units, including overseeing LPNs and CNAs that report to you
Help establish and implement employment policies and procedures
Maintain the standards of care for the units
Review Resident records & quality of care
Monitor overall care & review individual Residents’ cases
Address questions or complaints brought forward by Residents or their families

Education, Experience and/or Training:

Long-term Care experience preferred
Valid RN license required
2-4 years management experience.
knowledge of City, State and Federal regulations pertaining to licensed skilled nursing facilities.

Assures adequate staffing for all units calling replacement staff as necessary. Completes investigation sheets on all accident reports and submits to ADNS. Monitors for adequate supply of oxygen and for proper storage, ordering additional oxygen as needed. Monitors emergency supplies and emergency drug boxes assuring readiness for emergencies.
