Job details: - Work in the Surgery Room/OR unit of a Level 1 Trauma Center and teaching hospital with Magnet designation - Patient population includes CVT, cardiac, vascular, thoracic, and Level 1 trauma cases - 1:1 patient ratio - 8-hour day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM - 40 standard hours per week - No floating required - No weekend rotation required - On-call responsibilities of 12 days per month - Uses EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pump, Pyxis, Jackson table, Wilson frame, and DaVinci Si robotic system - Support staff includes charge nurse (typically without patient assignment), transport team, CRNA anesthesia, radiology, and OR leadership Requirements: - Active IL RN license required - BLS certification required; ACLS preferred - Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required - Skills required in open heart, robotics, vascular, and thoracic cases - Hybrid OR experience preferred - EPIC EMR experience required - First-time travelers considered with 2 years of experience Additional information: - Perform circulating and/or scrub RN duties for complex cardiovascular, vascular, and thoracic surgical cases - Orientation length is 1 week, varying from 2 days to a full week depending on experience, with no separate hospital orientation - If scheduled to work on a holiday, the assignment will proceed as scheduled - Procedural scrubs provided - Free parking available - Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restrictions - Former employees of the health system or its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for this travel assignment
