Key Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • School nursing experience strongly preferred
  • Competency in caring for pediatric patients, especially those with medical devices such as central lines and jejunostomies
  • Strong communication skills for working with students, faculty, and parents
  • Current CPR/BLS certification

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Monitor a 5-year-old student during school hours (Monday-Friday, 9:05am-3:35pm)
  • Observe a central line (no direct care required during the school day)
  • Oversee the students jejunostomy, managing the collection system for output
  • Collaborate with school personnel to maintain a safe learning environment
  • Communicate student status and needs clearly with staff and guardians
