A fulfilling opportunity is available for an experienced RN or LPN to provide dedicated school nursing care for a student with complex medical needs. The assignment runs from now through June 4, 2027, at Field Middle School, with hours from 8:30 am to 3:40 pm, totaling 32.5 hours per week.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid RN or LPN license in Illinois
  • Current CPR and BLS certifications
  • Significant experience in a school setting—must be familiar with the unique demands of school nursing
  • Direct knowledge and skill in G-tube feeding and complex student care
  • Ability to provide full-time, on-site support as a 1:1 nurse
  • Compassion, flexibility, and effective communication skills
  • Reliable, professional, and able to adapt to changes based on student health or attendance

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 nursing care for a student with complex needs, focusing on safe G-tube feeding and monitoring
  • Maintain accurate health records and coordinate with teachers, administrators, and parents about the student’s health plan
  • Act as an essential contributor to the student’s educational access and daily safety
  • Remain prepared to adapt to any changes in the student’s health or school attendance
