Job Description The UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland (OR) consists of 11 surgical suites and 1 procedural. Our primary focus is multidisciplinary team-based approach and staffing. Services include, but are not limited to: Neurology, Ortho/Spine, Otolaryngology, Urology, Plastics, Ophthalmology, Dental, Cardiac, General Surgery, GI, Hem/Onc. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Under minimal supervision, function primarily as a scrub and/or circulating nurse within the Operating Room. Completion of AORN Periop 101 with 2 years experience or 5 years experience in the Operating Room of a level 3 or 4 Acute Care Facility Cardiac experience as a registered nurse within the last 3 years Current experience in the Operating Room of an acute care setting Proficiency, ability to independently circulate, in at least 3 of the following services: General Surgery, Neurology, Orthopedics/Spine, Otolaryngology/Airway, GU, Plastics, Ophthalmology, Cardiac. Excellent verbal and written skills. Must be well organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and work independently and under pressure.
