Summary The Department of Anesthesiology, Section of Critical Care Medicine is seeking a qualified candidate for Advanced Practice Clinician position in a critical care clinical role. This Advanced Practice Clinician will provide medical care to patients with complex acute, critical, and/or chronic health conditions in a hospital setting in one or more specialized areas under the direction of a physician. Candidate will be required to provide clinical excellence, scholarly enthusiasm, and a track record of excellent clinical performance. The provider will have direct patient care responsibilities. The position will report to a BCM department head and the SVP and Dean of Clinical Affairs. Key Functions: Be able to conduct comprehensive assessment of patients throughout the continuum in the inpatient setting based on age and diagnosis, including psychological status. Perform and document history and physicals, order diagnostic studies, therapeutic procedures, prescribe medications, and participate in collaboration and direct reporting of patient information to the medical staff. Proficient use of Epic in the delivery of care. Working Conditions: This position requires working in Critical Care Units. Job Purpose Provides advanced nursing care to patients in a clinical setting in an area of specialization under the direction of a physician. Job Duties Obtain detailed history and perform physical examinations. Perform, order, and interpret diagnostic procedures in accordance with relevant health concerns of the patient. Prescribes appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments. Maintain records and write orders and progress notes in patient charts as to status, treatments, and procedures. Monitors and ensures accuracy of recording on patient medical records. Provide follow-up health maintenance care to patients in accordance with protocols established with the supervising physician. PURPOSE AND SCOPE: Works with the Facility Manager, facility staff and physician to coordinate the facility operations and patient procedures to ensure provision of quality patient care on a daily basis in accordance with policies, procedures and training. Assists with staffing, staff training, equipment, physician and patient relations, cost containment, supply management, medical records, patient billing, OSHA and all company, state and federal compliance. Maintains a clean, safe and sanitary environment in the entire vascular access facility at all times. Ensures all blood spills are immediately addressed according to company Bloodborne Pathogen Control Policies. ADMINISTRATIVE: Participates in cost control initiatives. Responsible for efficient utilization of medication, laboratory, inventory, supplies and equipment to achieve supply cost goals following all guidelines established in the formularies. Assists in the development and revision of any applicable policies and procedures for the facility as directed to ensure continuous process improvement. Initiates, documents and completes ongoing Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities including monthly reports and attend meetings as required. Manages medications, including ordering, receiving, and inventory control and checking for expired medications, including appropriate recording of controlled substances as required by law. Oversees maintenance of usage logs for all medications with appropriate documentation, as well as, records of drug disposal. Communicates with the pharmacist to assure medication accuracy, including appropriate recording of controlled substances as required by law. Ensures medical records are accurate, complete and in compliance with policies and procedures prior to discharge of the patient. Performs chart audits on a regular basis. Along with Facility Manager, coordinates the annual medical testing and competency testing for all facility staff. Participates in all facility regulatory and accreditation surveys and action plans to address any deficiencies identified. Verifies records for all implanted devices are completed accurately, timely and maintained according to records management guidelines. Coordinates the collection and forwarding of all vendor invoices to the accounting department. Acts as the Facility Manager in the absence of the manager or at the direction of management. Ensure nurses' progress notes are accurate and complete. Acts as the Patient Safety Officer and conducts quarterly patient safety meetings and fire drills. Complies with HIPPA policies and standards regarding patient information and medical records. Other duties as assigned. Director of Nursing (RN) - Skilled Nursing Facility Full-Time | Leadership Role We’re seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) who wants to lead a nursing department with structure, accountability, and support , not constant firefighting. This is an opportunity for a DON who values collaboration, realistic expectations, and long-term improvement , and who wants a true leadership voice within the building. Position Summary The Director of Nursing at Allure of Zion is responsible for the overall leadership, planning, and direction of the nursing department. The DON works closely with the Administrator and Medical Director to ensure regulatory compliance, clinical excellence, and a positive nursing culture. Key Responsibilities Clinical & Regulatory Leadership : Lead, plan, and direct nursing services in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain survey readiness and participate in state and federal surveys. Staffing & Operations : Ensure appropriate staffing levels for RNs, LPNs, and CNAs across all shifts. Oversee nursing schedules, assignments, and delegation of responsibilities. Clinical Oversight : Review nursing documentation for accuracy, completeness, and resident-centered care. Monitor medication administration and treatment compliance. Care Planning & Interdisciplinary Collaboration : Partner with the MDS/Care Plan team to ensure timely and accurate assessments. Encourage resident and family involvement in care planning. Education & Development : Support ongoing education, in-services, and competency development. Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional growth. Qualifications Required : Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license , Minimum 3 years of nursing leadership or supervisory experience , Current CPR certification , Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and survey processes, Ability to lead with professionalism, fairness, and consistency. Preferred : Prior DON or ADON experience in a skilled nursing environment, Experience with QAPI and survey recovery.
