Location SAINT LOUIS, MO 63110 Scheduled Hours 40 Position Summary WashU Medicine is seeking a dedicated and patient-centered Nurse Practitioner to join its growing Urologic Surgery team. This position supports the adult general urology practice across two outpatient locations, Barnes West County Hospital and the Center for Advanced Medicine (CAM). The Nurse Practitioner will maintain an independent ambulatory clinic schedule while working collaboratively with a team of Urology physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, medical assistants, and support staff to deliver exceptional patient care. Position Overview • Independent outpatient practice with physician collaboration and support • Opportunity to build long-term relationships with adult urology patients • Schedule averaging 18-20 patients per day • Collaborative, multidisciplinary practice environment • Split coverage between two outpatient locations Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Provides direct patient care to include obtaining patient history, performing patient assessment via observation, interview and examination; orders, performs and interprets diagnostic studies; performs preventative health assessments, screenings, immunizations and care; provides direct treatment and management of acute and chronic disease conditions; develops and implements patient-centered plan of care in collaboration with physicians, patients, consultants, nurses, ancillary care providers and others as appropriate to the patient's condition. Manages health conditions via prescriptive authority or referral to other healthcare providers or community resources; may perform diagnostic or therapeutic interventions consistent with certification and state regulations. May bill for services covered by collaborative practice agreement. Provides counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
