Assures confidential questionnaires are completed and all necessary forms are signed. Schedules appointments, notifies the providers of cancellations, and fills time slots to maximize physician productivity. Provides accurate and timely information back to the patient as indicated by the care team. Follows protocols to scheduled same day and urgent visits. CLINICAL PROCEDURES Performs all clinical functions as directed by the physician. DOCUMENTATION Documents and updates patient information in the medical record. Reconciles and documents patient medication logs at each visit Maintains appropriate documentation log for clinical equipment, point of care testing, and sample medication log, if applicable. Assures confidential questionnaires are completed and all necessary. Obtains prior authorizations as required. Manages overdues, recalls and actions within the EMR. Files or scans records in an accessible, confidential and secure system. QUALITY IMPROVEMENT Supports the quality improvement activities of the facility and responds appropriately to change. Participates in learning experiences as appropriate. Manages the office specific registry to identify patient care gaps. Ensures compliance with policy, procedure and regulatory requirements. Maintains patient rights, confidentiality and ethical billing practices.
