Roles and Responsibilities: Direct Patient Care: Support activities of daily living (ADLs), such as toileting, ambulating, repositioning, monitoring, and recording intake/output, recording patient weight, and obtaining vital signs. Clerical Support: Order supplies, answer telephones, deliver messages, make charts, coordinate and organize transfer paperwork, and manage call bell responses. Administrative Assistance: Make appointments, call providers, assist with prior authorizations, and coordinate bed assignments with Charge Nurses. Patient Education and Organization: Reinforce education with patients (e.g., incentive spirometer use, fall prevention), maintain clean and organized bedside areas, and round intentionally on each patient every hour. Required Skills and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent experience. Preferred Skills and Experience: NYS Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA). Prior patient care, clerical, or customer service experience. BLS certification (training provided if needed). Physical Requirements: Frequent hand and finger use (e.g., to operate a computer keyboard). Lifting and carrying items up to 40 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
