The Day Center CNA ( Certified Nurse Assistant) works at our Adult Day Health Center assisting participants with ADLs (activities of daily living) and providing both restorative and supportive care. Follow the care plan and assist participants with daily activities like bathing, dressing, grooming, hair care, mouth care, eating, and toileting. Document care provided in accordance with established policies, guidelines, and applicable regulations. May rotate into In-Home Services as a Homecare CNA. as deemed necessary by the Center Manager. Assist residents with bowel and bladder functions (i.e., take to bathroom, offer bed pan/urinal, protable commode, etc.). Assist non-diabetic residents with nail care including clipping, trimming, cleaning the fingers, fingernails, and toenails. Assist with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc. Change bed linens in residents' rooms. Check each resident routinely to ensure that his/her personal care needs are being met in accordance with his/her wishes. Collect specimens as instructed (i.e., urine, sputum, stools, etc.). Maintain intake and output records as instructed. Observe and report the presence of pressure areas and skin breakdowns to prevent pressure injuries. Perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures as instructed in accordance with the individualized plan of care.
