With the leadership of the Manager and the Clinical Supervisor, the Nursing Support Assistant (CNA) performs assigned supportive work in connection with the delivery of patient care, including functional tasks and skills. Demonstrates necessary skills and knowledge to provide care for patients according to unit specific competencies as appropriate to the age of the patients served. Essential Job Functions Provides basic patient care activities including vital signs, enemas and basic tests such as glucoscan, hemacult and multistix Assists patients with activities of daily living, as appropriate/assigned, using proper aseptic, isolation, and infection control techniques in performance of duties Assists patients with personal hygiene, ambulation and nourishment/fluids Completes procedures as assigned, such as collecting patient specimens and weighing patients.
