Overview An Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) provides urgent and essential medical care for patients experiencing acute illnesses or injuries in a high-paced hospital environment. ER RN's are critical frontline healthcare providers who perform rapid assessments, administer treatments, and coordinate care in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. An ER Registered Nurse has expertise in emergency care procedures, such as starting IVs, administering medications, wound care, and basic life support. This RN can quickly assess situations, make decisions, and solve problems efficiently in high-pressure environments and remains flexible to manage the unpredictable nature of emergency situations and rapidly changing priorities. Prepare and maintain equipment for emergency interventions (e.g., intubation, central line placement). Assist in patient stabilization for conditions like trauma, cardiac arrest, and acute illnesses. Prioritize patient care based on acuity level using triage protocols. Qualifications Education, Work Experience & Qualifications: 1. Current and valid state RN License.2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 4. Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 5. Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.6. Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting preferred.7. Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.8.
