We are seeking a passionate Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) who enjoys caring for a diverse pediatric population and is committed to delivering exceptional care to children and families. Position Summary The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will practice as an independent clinician while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team. This role is responsible for the direct care and clinical management of pediatric patients at our St. Paul and Minneapolis Emergency Department locations. APPs in the pediatric emergency department practice to the full scope of their licensure within a team-based model that includes both independent patient visits and shared visits alongside an attending physician. Key Responsibilities Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage pediatric patients presenting with a wide range of acute and traumatic conditions Obtain histories, perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and implement treatment plans Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions appropriate to the patient population Collaborate with attending physicians, pediatric specialists, and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, efficient, high-quality care Schedule Requirements We are open to a range of 0.8 to 1.0 FTE, depending on candidate interest and program needs. Rotating schedule that includes weekends and holidays The Children's Emergency departments, located in Minneapolis and St. Paul, are staffed 24 hours-a-day by board-eligible or board-certified pediatric emergency physicians and by nurses with specialized education in pediatric emergency medicine. Each facility is designed to support short-stay needs, coordinate pediatric and neonatal care transport, assault and abuse services, access to pediatric specialists, and emergency telephone consultation and referral. EDUCATION/ LICENSE / CERTIFICATION / EXPERIENCE: APRN Requirements: Current MN RN/APRN License. Nationally Board Certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with either the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice preferred Physician Assistant Requirements: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Key Responsibilities: Assess and manage patients at all acuity levels with medical and/or surgical complaints. Job Details Christiana Care is currently seeking a part-time hybrid advanced practice provider (PA/NP) for the Christiana Care ED callback team. In this role you will work collaboratively within the service line and with other departments to ensure timely follow-up of ED results. The APP will utilize established protocols to determine the need for further evaluation, testing, or treatment and will communicat e this information directly to patient and /or other healthcare providers. This is a part-time day shift position covering 40 hours biweekly with flexibility to allow for some of these hours to be done virtually. The selected candidate will work alongside other callback providers to provide coverage 7 days a week including holidays. This role oversees results for CCHS’ Delaware and Maryland campuses. Principal Duties and Responsibilities : Review all results (lab and radiology) for patients who are discharged from a CCHS Emergency Department . Contact patients to inform of pertinent post-discharge results per callback guidelines and p erform necessary follow-up actions which include , but are not limited to , prescribing medications, coordinating outpatient follow-up care, and patient education Receive and manage incoming calls from patients and pharmacist s to assist with visit related questions and prescription questions/medication adjustments. Return voicemail message s received during off hours .
