Be familiar and adhere to the regulations of AORN. Perform other related duties as required. Requirements Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in the operating room, successful completion of the periop 101 course, or ability to successfully complete periop 101 course required. Certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR), preferred. Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a time-oriented environment including exposure to all patient elements, i.e. blood borne pathogens, etc. Physical requirements: Able to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs using provided equipment or additional manpower as needed. Standing and walking for extended periods of time wearing a lead apron. Must have basic computer skills and ability to access internet and other programs applicable to Waterbury Hospital procedures.
