Supportive Staffing Ratios Key Responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care to residents according to care plans and physicians’ orders. Administer medications and treatments accurately and in a timely manner. Monitor and document residents’ health status, reporting any significant changes to the RN or physician. Assist with resident assessments and the development of individualized care plans. Supervise and direct CNAs and other nursing assistants in delivering daily care. Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and in compliance with facility policies and state/federal regulations. Respond to emergencies and follow proper protocols. Support residents and families with health education and emotional support. Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and HIPAA standards. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, audits, and in-service training. Qualifications: Valid LPN license in the state of employment Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program CPR/BLS certification (required or able to obtain upon hire) At least 3 years of nursing experience (long-term care preferred, but not required) Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with residents, families, and team members Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred Strong critical thinking, organizational, and time-management skills Walk-In Interviews Welcome! Overview: As a Medical Assistant at Hometown Urgent Care, you will play a crucial role in supporting healthcare delivery by assisting healthcare professionals in various clinical and administrative tasks. Please note that this position will float between our Springfield N and Springfield S Clinics Duties: Responsible for taking patient history and obtain vital signs Perform basic testing or screenings such as: vision, audio, urine drug screens, breath alcohol, EKGs, pulmonary function testing. Perform necessary phlebotomy for collection of laboratory samples. Accurately complete corresponding paperwork/computer work for lab tests ordered on blood, urine, tissue, and culture samples. Able to perform subcutaneous, intradermal, and intramuscular injections and accurately complete paperwork according to policy for that procedure. Assist providers with exams and testing (pelvic exams, eye irrigations and ear irrigations, I & D’s and splinting/ ortho-glass preparation Perform occupational medicine testing such as: urine drug screens, breath alcohol testing, audiogram, and DOT physicals Maintain confidentiality with all patient information (HIPAA). Ensures equipment is in working order. Reports equipment malfunctions to manager. Logs laboratory procedures completed. Processes related paperwork using computer equipment as directed. Responsible for patient call backs, scheduling physician referrals; specialist’s referrals and pharmacy issues; and patient’s education. Registration duties: explain to patients' accepted insurances and those out of network and knowledgeable of all pricing.
