The PACU RN is responsible for the safe delivery of comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients as they recover from anesthesia and sedation. Performs appropriate setup, monitoring, and management of invasive hemodynamic lines, including arterial lines, central venous pressure (CVP) lines, cardiac output monitoring systems, and Swan-Ganz catheters. Pain Management Demonstrates knowledge of pain physiology and pain management principles. Assesses, implements, monitors, and evaluates pain management interventions using established protocols and communicates patient response effectively. Qualifications Must possess current hospital experience (within the past 5 years) or be a new graduate (within the last 2 years). Prefer minimum of 1 year recent PACU or Critical Care experience.
