Schedule: Flexible 8-hour and 12-hour shifts, including call options. Post-call days off for in-house shifts. Overview Legacy Health offers an exciting growth opportunity to join a well-established team of collaborative and energetic Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs). Provides personal care to residents with a focus on resident preferences in regard to how and when care is provided for meal assistance, feeding, washing, bathing, mouth care, dressing, hair care, nail care, shaving and bed/chair positioning. Follows the plan of care in handheld PDA assigned residents. Provides timely and accurate documentation. Helps to improve or maintain resident’s level of functioning and health status through proactive and timely assistance with bowel and bladder functions. Recording intake and output, ambulation, transfer, range of motion, use of assistive devices/splints. Appropriate use of restraints, per policy. Responsibilities The Registered Nurse is one who plans, coordinates, delivers, and evaluates nursing care for patients whose protective reflexes or self-care abilities are potentially compromised during operative or other invasive procedures. Although the RN works collaboratively with other perioperative professionals (e.g.: Surgeons, anesthesia professional, surgical technologists) to meet patient needs, the RN is accountable for the patient outcomes resulting from the nursing care provided during the operative or other invasive procedure.
