Must have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick, and the ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job Meets the requirements for employees providing direct patient care Read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job Have a valid driver’s license and use an insured automobile for work or access to adequate transportation The Home Health Aide shall have successfully completed a Competency Evaluation that meets the state licensing laws for home health agencies. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure. Assist with mobility and transportation of patients within the facility. Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding patient needs and changes in condition. Skills Dementia experience required in order to understand patient needs effectively. Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks is preferred. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy is maintained. Experience in home care, nursing homes, ICU, or hospice care settings is a plus. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is highly desirable. Compassionate demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Document patient care activities accurately using electronic health record systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks.
