Overview Home Health Aide Family Services of Central Massachusetts, an Affiliate of Seven Hills Foundation Responsible for delivering personal care and related household tasks and activities under the direction of a Supervisor. Perform assigned duties and responsibilities, communicate observations verbally and in writing, accept and use supervision, respect privacy and confidentiality, adapt to a variety of situations, respect and accept different values, nationalities, races, religions, cultures and standards of living. Vacation Cash-Out Option 3 Paid Personal Days 11 Paid Holidays Accrued Paid Sick Time Responsibilities Services include assistance with: bathing, showers, sponge baths dressing shampoo/hair combing foot care (excluding nail cutting) denture care shaving (electric razor only) bedpan routines eating ambulating and transfers (under the Elders Affairs’ Personal Care Guidelines) shopping menu planning, meal preparation laundry light housekeeping, including but not limited to: vacuuming dusting wet & dry mopping, dish washing cleaning the kitchen and bathroom changing beds prescriptions pick-up essential errands Qualifications Education & Experience: Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent. Completion of HHA training program = 75 hours (as recommended by the Massachusetts Council for Home Care Aide Services). On-going state required staff development training = 12 hours per year. A primary way staff connect to our mission is by collaborating with all team members in promoting an environment that provides quality, compassionate, holistic, patient-centered care and supports all internal and external customers RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or equivalent preferred; Must be able to read and understand written instructions; Must be able to take direction via telephone in patient's home; Must be able to make meaningful observations and report changes in patient condition; Must have basic knowledge of computer applications and ability to enter patient information into an electronic device. Successfully pass all competency exams. LICENSE AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS: Qualified for employment under current state (Pennsylvania or New Jersey) state regulations, current driver's license and access to a car, current car registration, and current car insurance.
