Now Hiring - Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) This Certified Nursing Assistant will be responsible for, but not limited to: Provides or assists in ADL activities; personal hygiene, grooming, mouth, skin care and nails. Provides assistance in toileting; positioning and transfer activities, frequent turning and positioning of a bed bound resident/patient. Assists with the prescribed exercise and ROM activities which the resident/patient and Hospice aide have been taught by the Hospice Nurse. Assists with light housekeeping of individual's personal unit or room, including changing of bed linen, if needed and patient laundry. Feeds and assists with meals. Obtains temperature, pulse and respirations as supervised by the Hospice Nurse. Reports any changes in resident's/patient's condition to the Hospice Nurse and, if in a facility, to the facility nurse and documents the information on the Home Health Aide Certification of House form, including the date and time of the report and the person receiving the information. Assists or reminds the patient to take medication, in compliance with regulations of appropriate regulatory and accrediting bodies. DIRECTION RECEIVED The Admissions Registered Nurse reports to the Admissions Manager designated in the location. In the event the location does not have an Admissions Manager, the Admissions Registered Nurse will receive direction from the Patient Care Administrator or program designee QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ADMISSIONS REGISTERED NURSE 1. Graduate of a National League of Nursing accredited school of nursing. 2. Current licensure in State of CA and CPR certification. 3. Registered nurses shall have a minimum of one (1) year of experience as a professional nurse within the last three (3) years; OR have a baccalaureate degree in nursing from a program accredited by the National League of Nursing and a current RN license. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience, at least one of which is in the area of public health, home care, or hospice nursing is preferred. 4. Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, basic math skills; nursing skills per competency checklist. Admissions Registered Nurse is expected to have strong presentation skills. 5. Prolonged or considerable walking or standing. Able to lift, position and/or transfer patients. Able to lift supplies and equipment. Considerable reaching, stooping bending, kneeling and/or crouching. 6. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
