Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention. Performs exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests. Strives to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively. Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, patient status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures. Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding. Teaches patients/families/caregivers about any non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and/or other lifestyle changes. NIGHT SHIFT; 3 12-hr shifts; high volume with exposure to wide range of medical emergencies in level 2 trauma center; tight-knit team; engaging & supportive leadership What qualifications you will need: Graduate of accredited nursing school, ADN or BSN required. Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation, American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required. Current AHA ACLS to be obtain within 90 days of hire; NIH Stroke training to be completed successfully within 90 days of hire; TNCC REQUIRED within 6 months of hire. Overland Park, KS Hours: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM The Hospice Registered Nurse On Call (RN Weeknights) will be responsible for, but are not limited to: Observes and documents the physical, mental and emotional needs of the patient and family on an ongoing basis Consults with the Hospice Nurse regarding the patient's status and symptom management at appropriate levels Delivers physical and psychological care as prescribed by the attending physician, as supervised by the Hospice Nurse and as approved by the IDC team Monitors and documents patient/family input and response to care Maintains continuity of patient care through ongoing communication with families and other health care professionals Participates in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings and all other meetings as assigned Maintains sufficient and appropriate home care supplies for adequate patient care management Collection of documentation and paperwork as requested by the Hospice Nurse. Assistance with clinical billing as deemed necessary Participates in orientation of new hospice aides as assigned Education: Associate's Degree in a related field Professional Experience: Hold a Valid and current RN license within the state of operations 1 year of clinical experience Long Term Care/Home Care/Hospice experience preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills. Orthopedic Surgical Tech, PRN

Under the general supervision of the Manager of Perioperative Services, and the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Surgical Technologist is responsible for filling the surgical scrub role on all types of minor and major surgical procedures dependent on individual competencies in each surgical specialty. Assists physicians and nurses in various medical and technical procedures. These functions must be in compliance with the philosophy of the hospital, standards of practice and regulations of governing agencies.
