A growing, innovative cardiovascular program is looking for an Advanced Practice Provider to help build and support a comprehensive atrial fibrillation program. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative electrophysiology and cardiology team, providing longitudinal management for patients with atrial fibrillation through guideline-directed care, patient education, risk factor modification, and coordinated procedural planning. The advanced practice provider will help support and shape clinical pathways designed to improve access, care coordination, and quality outcomes across the continuum of atrial fibrillation patient care. In this role you will practice with a high level of autonomy while benefiting from strong physician collaboration and support. This position will initially focus on left atrial appendage occlusion program, with future expansion into broader atrial fibrillation care. Job Summary: Under immediate supervision of the Health Center Manager, the Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse performs routine clinic duties associated with a reproductive health program within the scope of their MA training/LPN licensure. Medical Assistants and Licensed Practical Nurses are responsible for providing the highest level of customer service and patient care as well as supporting the operations of the health center. Some of the responsibilities include conducting patient history review, performing & processing labs, providing contraceptive supplies, and unbiased education. Communicate PPNCS protocols, policy and procedures to clinicians and staff as appropriate. Assure clinic manuals are up to date (e.g., clinic, lab, safety, MS&G). Collaborate with and provide coverage as needed at health centers in assigned neighborhoods. Administer mild and moderate sedation. As appropriate, assist the physician with surgical procedures, monitor patient stability, and perform macroscopic exam of tissue post-procedure. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited LPN program Current Minnesota LPN License Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification The Neuroscience Spine Unit is a 45-bed unit consisting of 8 Neuro Progressive Care Unit beds and 37 general neuroscience patient rooms. We treat patients who have had Neurosurgical, Neuro-interventional, and Neuro-medical diseases and disorders. In addition, we serve stroke, seizure, multiple trauma, and traumatic brain injury patients. Nursing Assistant in Training (NAIT) Position Summary: The Nursing Assistant in Training (NAIT) is a position that exists to prepare NAITs to successfully pass the Minnesota State Nursing Assistant competency exams. NAITs must be actively enrolled in an approved Minnesota MDH 75-hour NATCEP program at the time of hire. Upon completion of the course, the NAIT will take and pass the Minnesota State Nursing Assistant competency exams within 4 months of hire at which time the NAIT will apply internally for the open CNA position at the facility of their choosing. The student is allowed 3 attempts for the Skills exam and 4 attempts for the Knowledge exam. If either exam attempts are exhausted, a new training program must be completed. As an NAIT, you will be responsible for most duties of a certified nursing aide (CNA) as officially deemed competent through in part, completion of at least 16 hours of training in core areas.
