The Mother Baby Unit is a 40 bed unit that provides newborn, antepartum and postpartum care to adolescent and adult women. Our nurses, many of whom hold a specialty certification in Maternal Newborn Nursing, care for their patients with an emphasis placed on safe, compassionate, and family centered care. Patient acuity can range from low risk patients, who obtain their care from our highly skilled OB and Certified Nurse Midwife providers, to high risk patients, who obtain their care from our Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists. Our IBCLCs are on site seven days a week providing breastfeeding support to inpatients and coordinating our donor milk program in addition to following patients in the community through our outpatient clinic.
