Determines the urgency and type of care required for patients based on assessment. Provides medical advice and guidance based on assessments. Prepares materials, supplies, equipment, and the patient to assist the clinician with the patient's medical exam Obtains the patient's history and medical information. Collects and processes specimens as directed by the clinician and performs point of care testing. Contacts the patient by telephone to provide requested follow-up, advises them of test results or relay a physician's instructions.
