Overview: ATHENS, GA Nurse Residency Unit- PRECEPTOR RN Full time Days 7am-7pm Sign-on Bonus Available $ (Seeking an experienced Preceptor-RN for this role) The 20-bed Nurse Residency Unit serves 7 med/surg units by onboarding three cohorts of new graduate nurses each year. New graduate nurses complete the first part of their orientation on this dedicated unit with experienced preceptors, which provides new nurses with a solid clinical foundation prior to moving to their assigned home unit. The Nurse Residency Unit creates a safe learning environment to assist in developing competent, highly-skilled nurses. Overview: Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting for an Advanced Practice Provider to join an established Neurosurgery practice at Piedmont Athens Hospital. This position is full-time, 5 days a week, including rotations with established APP's for weeknight and weekend call. This is a hybrid role serving as a First Assist in the OR, hospital rounding, and seeing patients in the clinic. Responsibilities: First Assist with hospital rounding, consults, and patient discharges Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations and record data in patient's medical record in ambulatory practice. Clinical responsibilities require thorough attention to detail. Evaluate and treat patients to achieve optimal patient care. Write progress notes; prepare patient work-ups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings. Develop plans of care that minimize complications and successfully troubleshoot problems when they arise. Apply preventative and alternative treatment strategies for possible procedural complications. Complete pre-op appointments for all surgical patients, work with supervising physician to ensure all required labs, clearances and testing is satisfactorily complete well before surgery. Overview: Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting for an Advanced Practice Provider to join a very busy Neurosurgical practice at Piedmont Athens Hospital. Responsibilities: Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations and record data in patient's medical record in ambulatory practice. Clinical responsibilities require thorough attention to detail. Evaluate and treat patients to achieve optimal patient care. Write progress notes; prepare patient work-ups and summaries, noting pertinent positive and negative findings.
