Nursing Assistant 1: entry level; performs basic patient care duties under direction of a nurse, physician, or other clinician; may assist Nursing Assistants 2, physicians, and nurses in the performance of care functions. Incumbents at this level receive in-service training in a limited number of care procedures, leading to eligibility to qualify for appointment to Nursing Assistant 2. Nursing Assistant 2: full performance level; using detailed guidelines, standards, and procedures, and under the supervision of clinicians, observes patients and performs prescribed simple treatment procedures; attends to personal hygiene needs of patients; and performs limited cleaning and housekeeping duties directly related to patient care. The OR Nurse Coordinator actualizes the vision, mission, values and balanced scorecard performance measures for Hudson Regional Hospital. The OR Nurse Coordinator participates in performance improvement/research activities; maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise; and demonstrates leadership skills. The RN demonstrates core and unit specific competencies based on the patient population served. Responsible for the provision of nursing care to patients undergoing a surgical intervention. Demonstrates leadership in management systems, clinical practice, quality assurance and staff development in accordance with overall philosophy and goals of the Operating Room EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: New Jersey State License for Registered Professional Nurse and current registration or valid permit to practice in New Jersey State as an R.N. BLS required. CNOR Certification preferred in specialty or efforts to achieve certification. AORN Membership preferred. BSN degree preferred and at least 2-5 years clinical experience in the specialty or related service; or combination of education and experience acceptable to the Director of Nursing or designee.
