Overview JOB SUMMARY: The Case Manager uses InterQual criteria to evaluate the appropriateness of admissions, concurrent stay and readiness for discharge. She/he assures the correct level of care: critical, telemetry, acute, observation, for all patients. The Case Manager provides an efficient, coordinated approach to clinical management, with an emphasis on discharge planning, care coordination and utilization management activities for select patient populations across the continuum of programs and services at GMC. Overview The Clinical Manager is responsible and accountable for the quality of staff and functions during their shift. Overview JOB DESCRIPTION Provides direct care in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab Department setting. Provide care for patient pre and post cardiac and IR procedures. Communicate with physicians/Nurse Directors / coworkers as appropriate about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology and be able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment; will rotate on variable shift as required for coverage. Ensures the unit is adequately prepared for the procedure. Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies. Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities, and the training of new staff. Assist in all aspects of invasive and cardiac procedures ie TEE, Cardioversion procedure.
