Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Responsible for providing clinical care for patients with implantable cardiac devices including pacemakers, defibrillators and loop devices. Must demonstrate the professional and technical skills required to evaluate patient arrhythmia's and cardiac rhythm management devices, including program settings and troubleshooting. Acquires, maintains, and integrates knowledge of scientific principles and derived technology-based interventions for all cardiac devices. Responsibilities Responsible for performing in-office and/or remote interrogations and any necessary reprogramming of cardiac devices. Including the interpretation of arrhythmia's, troubleshoot, and reprogram settings of pacemakers and defibrillators according to patients needs and department protocols. Independently documents instance of patient care in electronic medical record. Assures the accuracy and completeness of documentation and adherence to billing guidelines. Performs independent daily reviews of remote transmissions from implanted devices. Completes trans-telephonic checks on patient devices requiring follow up in between office visits to assess basic function and patient status. Correlates information with the patients clinical condition to assist in the management of arrhythmias. Provides reports to physicians and completes required follow up. Monitor residents’ conditions and promptly report changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Administer medications and treatments as ordered and within your scope of practice. Demonstrate knowledge and appropriate use of infection prevention and control procedures. Participate in the facility’s Quality Improvement Program. Utilize appropriate resident care programs and resources to promote quality of life. Communicate resident updates to relevant departments, including room changes, leave of absence, new admissions, and discharges. Provide education to residents and families regarding care, treatment, health needs, and safety. Complete accurate and timely nursing documentation. Collaborate with CNAs, nurses, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team. Promote resident dignity, comfort, safety, and well-being. Follow all applicable state, federal, local, and facility requirements. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri. Graduate of an approved nursing program. Strong clinical judgment and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. Commitment to compassionate, resident-centered care. Previous skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred. One year of prior nursing management experience preferred.
