Job Description Balance Life & Work with a New Career Opportunity (ASSISTED LIVING) Now Hiring – Registered Nurse – Sharon, MA $30.00 to $43.62 Compensation will be based on, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, credentials, employment status, scheduled shift, and, if applicable, differentials related to a specific shift(s)/and or day(s) CareOne at Sharon Responsibilities The Registered Nurse is responsible for the Shift coordination and oversight of the nursing process for residents assigned to his or her care. Responsibilities include both the direct and indirect provision of care according to each resident's nursing and medical plan of care and in accordance with state and federal regulations and accepted nursing standards of practice. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Provide direct nursing care to assigned residents in accordance with the nursing process. May be assigned to function as Medication/Treatment Nurse, unit Charge Nurse, or Supervisor. Direct day to day functions of Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants, assuring compliance with state and federal regulations and facility policies and processes. Provide assessment of and responds to resident conditions utilizing the nursing process. Work cooperatively with other members of the facility interdisciplinary team. Maintain effective communication with other members of the interdisciplinary team utilizing facility processes in order to assure the highest standard of care is maintained for each resident assigned to his or her care. Complete and ensure LPN and C.N.A. documentation of care and services rendered according to facility policies and procedures. Complete reports such as the 24-hour change in condition report, Incident and Accident reports, etc. according to the facility policy and procedure and as assigned by the Director of Nursing Services. Provide immediate response to situations of resident risk such as allegations of abuse, neglect or misappropriation of property. Report incidents timely and to appropriate persons per facility policy. Ensure timely and accurate medication and treatment administration. Communicate to physician and documents changes in resident condition utilizing both objective and subjective nursing assessment. Document and implement changes in nursing and medical plans of care. According to facility policy and procedure, assure that all members of the interdisciplinary team are aware of and understand changes in resident nursing and/or medical plan of care. Position Requirements Associate's Degree from credentialed school of nursing. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 0 - Under the general direction of The Senior Director of Inpatient and Emergency Services, the Nursing Supervisor serves as the onsite administrator for the hospital for a defined shift. The Nursing Supervisor understands and demonstrates knowledge of the healthcare environment, communication and relationship management, business skills and principals, professionalism, and leadership. The Nursing Supervisor works closely with emergency, inpatient, and operational leadership to act as an administrative liaison to internal hospital departments and external community resources. Through the assessment of clinical indicators and use of critical thinking, the Nursing Supervisor collaborates with RN and physician/LIP teams to effectively allocate clinical resources, coordinate patient placement, and manage hospital operations. The Nursing Supervisor ensures that all clinical staff function within established policies and practice guidelines in accordance with all state, federal, and organizational regulations and standards. The Nursing Supervisor initiates and contributes to staff development, professional practice, quality, performance improvement, and patient experience. The Oncology Nurse Navigator (ONN) uses their oncology-specific clinical knowledge to offer individualized assistance to patients, families and caregivers to help overcome healthcare system barriers. Registered Nurses may work in various conditions, including those involving communicable diseases, body fluids, and potentially stressful or noisy environments. May be exposed to all patient care elements within the hospital setting.
