This position is full-time 40 hours per week Evenings Flex 3p-11:30p with every-other weekend and holidays as required at Temple University Hospital. Provides direct and indirect patient care duties under the guidance and direction of the Registered Nurse. Responsible for implementing components of the plan of care based on physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs. Provides comfort, safety and emergency measures; activities of daily living: personal care needs, nutritional and elimination needs. Measures vital signs, performs ECGs, and capillary blood glucose needs. Observes and reports the functioning of equipment, the results of treatments, condition of dressings and any change in patient condition. Incorporates the concepts of the Hospital's Customer Service Program into all aspects of patient care activities (i.e. confidentiality, responsiveness, caring).
