Asure Wound Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Specialist, Wound Care Supplies to join our team. This is a remote position based in the Dover area (you must live in this area) and requires experience working in nursing homes or long-term care facilities as well as a strong background in wound care. The ideal candidate must be comfortable driving distances up to 2 hours away. He/she is knowledgeable in the science of radiology, the principles of ALARA, the physical effects of radiation on tissue, and the potential for genetic effects. This knowledge base informs the Cardiac Cath Lab RN’s practice as he/she incorporates safe techniques and protective measures aimed at minimizing the exposure to radiation by the patients and all personnel. Assists physicians in the performance of all cardiac and vascular procedures . He/she has an in-depth knowledge of cardiovascular disease and associated co-morbidities, and is trained and experienced in: handling emergent and life-threatening situations maintains BLS and ACLS certification and skills maintains IABP certification and skills proper operation of departmental equipment achieving and maintaining sterile technique achieving and maintaining hemostasis following procedures the uses and risks associated with the administration of contrast media. Provides direct care to patients – before, during and after procedures. Completes pre-procedural physical patient assessment. Reviews patient information, including H&P, lab work and other test results. Re-assesses and monitors patients based on their individual clinical needs. Initiates appropriate steps to provide optimal patient experience . Administers IV fluids and blood products as ordered and per hospital policy . He/she evaluates the extent and urgency of equipment malfunction incidents, makes recommendations for appropriate action to the Director of Cardiovascular Services and arranges for service as indicated . Participates in the departments on-call schedule in order to provide off-hours urgent and emergent services as outlined by departmental policy . Patient/Family involvement is indicated on plan of care if appropriate . Patient teaching is planned and implemented. Delivers care with respect to the individuals spiritual and cultural needs. Changes in patient’s physiological and behavioral status are recognized, documented as they occur. Adverse response to care or treatment is recognized, documented and reported to the physician. Hand off Communication occurs at shift change, between department, upon transfer and discharge. Manages pain through assessment (with appropriate pain scale) intervention, re-assessment within one hour of intervention. Orders are implemented as ordered. Job Summary and Qualifications The Endoscopy RN reports to the Director of Surgical Services, and works under the direct supervision of the departments Nurse Clinical Leader. He/she is responsible for providing direct care to patients undergoing procedures in Endoscopy .
