Position Overview The ADON / Risk Management Nurse (RN) supports the Director of Nursing in overseeing clinical operations while leading the facility’s risk management and quality assurance initiatives. This role plays a critical part in ensuring regulatory compliance, reducing risk exposure, and promoting resident safety and clinical excellence. Participates in development and maintenance of a system of evaluation of nursing care, practices and procedures, including evaluation of nursing personnel. Maintains professional competence through participation in continuing education and other appropriate learning experiences. Description Nursing Attendant - Ambulatory Surgery - Mount Sinai Morningside - Full Time - Days - 5:30am - 1:30pm The Nursing Attendant is an individual who functions in a support role to the Registered Professional Nurse by providing direct patient care and related activities as assigned. Responsibilities Assists the nursing staff in performing selected nursing procedures, treatments, and functional tasks to specific patients including vital signs: Temperature, Pulse, Respirations, Blood Pressure and Pain Rating. Performs procedures associated with activities of daily living, ambulation, mobility, and personal hygiene of the patient. Observes, reports, and records routine and specific patient data, behaviors and responses to treatment on the appropriate flow sheet/EMR. Reports pertinent information and observations regarding patients to the registered nurse Performs procedures related to assuring a safe environment for patients, staff and others. Performs procedures associated with the admission, transfer and discharge of patients. Performs procedures associated with the maintenance of food and fluid intake.
