Performs and interprets, standard laboratory, radiologic, cardiographic and other routine diagnostic procedures used to identify pathophysiologic processes as privileged by Genesis Credentialing Board 4. Performs routine procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, managing simple conditions produced by infection or trauma, assisting in the management of more complex illness and injury as privileged by the Genesis Credentialing Board. 5. May prescribe and monitor medications as allowed by prescriptive authority through applicable state Board of Nursing/Medicine and Genesis Credentialing Board. 6. May need to take call and work some off-hour shifts as needed. 7. Perform in-hospital consultations. Facilitates appropriate length of stay, discharge planning, and compliance with regulatory standards for inpatient management. 8. Ensures continuity of care by serving as a liaison between patient and other members of the multi-disciplinary care team or with other specialty areas as necessary 9. Participates in quality monitoring thru the review of records and treatment plans for patient outcomes periodically to assure quality care 10. Discharge planning – Dictates discharge summaries, writes prescriptions, explains discharge instructions and confirms follow-up appointments. 11. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS 1. APRN: EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited APRN training program. 2. Current Ohio RN and APRN licensure 3. Must have a current certificate of authority and certificate to prescribe (or eligible) by the Ohio Board of Nursing. 4. Current DEA registration (for Interventional Radiology only) 5. Acute Care, Surgical, Critical Care, or Trauma Experience Preferred. 6. Required certifications: BLS to be obtained within six (6) months of hire. Job Description: The Nursing Assistant assists in the treatment and care of the patient under the direction of a Staff RN. Provides personal care that includes bathing, feeding, skin and mouth care and changing bed lines. Collects, documents, and reports vital signs such as: temperature, blood pressure, pulse, height and weight. Empties patient drainage containers and maintains accurate intake and output records. Assists with pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative care which includes, positioning, lifting and turning. Reports changes observed in condition or behavior of patient. Assists with treatment procedures. Assists in maintaining supplies and reports malfunctioning equipment. Remains compliant with HIPAA, maintains professionalism and ensures confidentiality of patient information. Job Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent preferred . STNA preferred. CPR/When Seconds Count/HOPE within the first six months of employment. Nursing assistant experience preferred. Must be able to physically exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work. Position may require frequent patient handling activity.
