Description Northwestern Medicine has an exciting opportunity for either an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant to work in our Cardiac Recovery and Observation (CROU) and Cardiac PACU department. The APP provides post-procedural recovery care for patients undergoing invasive and non-invasive cardiovascular procedures through the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute. The unit supports patients' recovery from diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology procedures, structural heart interventions, and transesophageal echocardiogram requiring monitored recovery. The combined recovery areas include 17 monitored beds (11 CROU and 6 PACU) and care for approximately 8,000 cath and ep procedures annually. This position involves both inpatient and outpatient.
