The Registered Nurse provides care consistent with the standards of professional nursing. Provides leadership and supervision to CNA/SNA and other healthcare workers as assigned. Requirements: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois. Previous RN experience in specialty area required. CPR and any additional certifications for specialty area. FULL TIME (0.9)— minimum of three (3) twelve (12) hour scheduled shifts Friday, Saturday and Sunday OR Saturday, Sunday, and Monday every week. Weekend Warriors are allowed one weekend off per quarter. (Quarters based on calendar year January 1 through December 31). Weekend off requires manager review and approval. Two weekend shift trades are allowed per quarter. The employee may not carry over unused trades or their weekend off into the next Weekend warrior program. Trades require manager review and approval. F/T employees will remain on their holiday rotation. If a holiday falls on a weekday, the employee will work their holiday and be taken off a normal scheduled weekend shift. P/T employees will be required to work the holiday if it falls on the weekend. When PTO is used it will be paid at the base rate. There will also be a contract you will have to sign for the agreement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assesses each patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, nutritional, and functional needs Plans and implements a plan of care with the appropriate nursing interventions specific to the age population served Assesses educational needs of patient/ families implementing teaching strategies Evaluate care given including the patient response Documents nursing care in the medical record Provides delegation and supervision to CNA, SNA and other healthcare workers who assist the nurse in the plan of care Administers medications and treatments as prescribed Promotes a clean and safe environment of care, utilizing the SAFE error prevention habits Provides the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality in matters involving patients, coworkers, and the hospital by abiding by the Standards of Conduct Required Qualifications : Education and Training : CPR certified Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois or eligible for licensure per Nurse Practice Act Work Shift Details: Nights -12 Hours, 7p-7a with rotating weekend and holiday requirements Department: 4-4 TELEMETRY MEDICAL IP NURSING Benefits for You At Silver Cross Hospital, we care about your health and well-being and that is why we work hard to provide quality and affordable benefit options for you and your eligible family members.
