The incumbent will provide care to patients including taking histories; conducting physical exams; document findings and actions as indicated, complex wound care within the department and assist with planning of the course of patients’ treatments for adult populations. The NPII will perform site-specific patient teaching; prepare patients for simulation; may assist with contouring structures for treatment planning; medicate patients as needed; order medications for symptom relief; assist in managing patients in follow-up; and address quality of life issues not limited to skin/wound care, speech/swallowing, adequate nutritional intake; and psycho-social issues. In addition, the NPII will answer patient phone calls, emails, My Chart messages, questions and perform other duties as required such as attending tumor boards, participate in department, and medical center committees as needed. Other duties may include developing patient education materials; staff development; training; teaching; outreach; assisting with research; analyzing or collecting data; and assisting other service teams in providing care to patients in the department as needed. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Graduation from a California Board of Registered Nursing approved or verified school of nursing with a master’s degree in nursing or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
