Overview The Department of Internal Medicine at Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at Old Dominion University is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the team. Provides nursing care for patients and assisting physicians. Clinical and administrative duties include: Triage patients [vital signs, height/weight, medical/social history, medication reconciliation] Stock/prepare exam rooms Retrieve imaging and laboratory results Process work task/message ques in the electronic health records [EPIC], and the patient portal [myChart] Ability to work in our clinical and administrative areas with the Department of Medicine. Overview This is a position for a Medical Assistant with the EVMS Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeons. Obtain and record vital signs, including height, weight, temperature, and blood pressure. Draw blood and administer injections under the supervision of a Physician or Registered Nurse. Collect and prepare laboratory specimens. Chaperone and assist during office procedures, and diagnostic tests. Maintain clean, well-equipped examination rooms; clean and sterilize instruments. Overview In accordance with the mission, vision, and values of the EVMS Medical Group and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Hofheimer Hall (HH) Generalist Nurse Manager functions under the direction of the Director of Nursing and in collaboration with the Generalist Division Director, HH Generalist Practice Manager, and Department Administrator to provide clinical leadership and operational oversight for the Generalist Obstetrics and Gynecology practice. The Nurse Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, high-quality, patient-centered care while overseeing clinical workflows, staffing, and regulatory compliance. This position provides direct leadership and supervision to the clinical team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The Nurse Manager partners with providers and administrative leadership to optimize clinical operations, support quality improvement initiatives, enhance the patient experience, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and evidence-based clinical practices.
