Your Role on the Team Position Summary The Operating Room Nurse uses the nursing process, to design, coordinate, and deliver patient care that meets the identified needs of patients having operative procedures. May act as scrub or circulating nurse in various procedures. Acts as a role model to nursing students, and new nurses to the unit. Functions as a Pt. Care Coordinator as requested. Overview Primarily responsible for providing acute patient care to patients in a safe and effective manner in the Operating Room from admission to discharge. Overview The staff RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the therapeutic environments, treatment and modalities and interdisciplinary collaboration. Responsibilities The RN shall, for their patient, collaborate in the formulation of the overall plan of care for the patient, as evidenced by written documentation. Identifies needs and problems specific to biophysical, cognitive, developmental, emotional, socio-cultural, and spiritual. Demonstrates accountability for on-going awareness of the status of assigned patients. Collects and documents data appropriate to the nature and severity of the condition. Qualifications Minimum 2 years experience in Postpartum. Current CA Registered Nurse license. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications are required. NIHSS certification is required within 90 days of employment.

Overview The Case Manager Registered Nurse is primarily responsible for the preparation, recording and tracking of initial and retrospective payments for hospital services. Answers, directs and records departmental phone calls from a variety of sources (Insurance companies, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Home Health Agencies, Durable Medical Equipment, other health care providers, etc.) understanding priorities for the delivery of quality patient care. Coordinates with Discharge Planners for continuum of patient care, for example, durable medical equipment (DME) and Levels of Care.
