You will provide dedicated support across 3 oncology floors within the hospital. Flexible hours - 1-2 days a week. 3/6/8 hours in a day. **What your day will look like** Determines and prioritizes patient care needs. Diagnoses are determined and prioritized from the assessment data using appropriate complex clinical reasoning. Performs or implements interventions and treatments with knowledge of health care research findings and reflecting a scientific basis and theory. Order, perform and interpret laboratory tests. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will order and interpret any tests necessary to the medical evaluation. Required Qualifications: Active and unrestricted registered nurse with current license in state of NY Two (2)+ years of experience working as an RN in a Critical Care setting that contributes to proficiency in infusion therapy (such as medical surgical unit, ED, ICU, post-anesthesia care, or similar setting) Experience with lab draws, IV infusions, and reconstitution of medications Strong experience with working with a variety of pumps (CAAD, curling, etc) & troubleshooting issues that may arise Possess a valid and current driver’s license and auto insurance/registration Ability to handle specialty cases like IGG, IVIG, Solumedrol, etc. Have and maintain current CPR / BLS certification Knowledge of HIPAA patient privacy and data security requirements; OSHA employee protection regulations Hold current Malpractice Insurance Have experience with Microsoft Office to document and track patient care activity About Us: Founded in 2008, UniversaCare is a fully licensed and growing Home Care Agency serving the NY Metropolitan area and is continually expanding throughout the Northeast.
